DSA Shade Canopies

CCI is a California based company making it simple and cost effective for inspection and fast turn around times.

The following sizes and combinations have been approved by the DSA under the 2010 California Building Code, Title 24, Part 2, CCR.

Using this Identification Stamp (PC#) of the Division of the State Architect applies to all size structures:

All combinations come with optional post (eave) heights of 9′ up to 12′.

NOTE: Plan dimensions are repeatable in one direction up to 6,000 square feet (for example, a 30’x30′ can be repeated 3 times up to a 90’x30′ with 8 posts). Complete canopy kits include fabric top, steel framework, steel cable, hardware and footing cages: ready to install.

FABRIC:
Alnet “Extrablock” is extremely durable and is available in True Blue, Forest Green, Silver, Beige, Dark Gray and Terracotta. California State Fire Marshall Registration # F-94501.

STEEL:
Gatorshield tubing has a triple layer of zinc coating for rust and corrosion resistance. The design criteria conform to the 2010 California Building Code. All steel members are powdercoated and shipped directly from factory.

INSPECTION:
The school district must hire a welding inspector to oversee the shop welding (in-plant inspection).

INSTALLATION:
There must be an IOR (field inspector) to oversee the installation/sitework. The footings must be inspected before pouring concrete. The inspector must be DSA approved and will be engaged by the school district.

DESIGN:
Basic Wind Speed = 85 mph Exposure C Live Load = 5 psf

WARRANTY:
The steel frame carries a twenty-year warranty while the canopy has a ten-year pro-rated warranty.
